Terry is President and Founder of Smith & Company Architects, having founded Smith & Company in 1999 after working as Managing Principal at a large national AE firm. While with his previous firm, Terry participated in the design of such notable projects as the Harris County Criminal Justice Center, the Harris County Civil Courts, and the Jesse H.

Jones School of Business and Spurgeon Grey Hall School of Pharmacy at Texas Southern University.

After relocating to Florida to manage the firm’s Tampa office, Terry began his relationship with local school districts and housing organizations completing successful school projects and housing developments across west Florida.

He also performed programming and schematic design services for the Master Plan Update for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority and he also led the development of a six phase master plan for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority at Vandenburg Airport including projects at Tampa International Airport.
