He completed his residency at Washington University in St. Louis after Medical School at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Boyer has been selected to 14 Multi-Sport Games as a member of the Health Care Team including the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, and Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games.
He was Chief Medical Officer for the 2010 Inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, the 2013 Universiade in Kazan, Russia and Chief Doctor for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games. He was the Chief Doctor for Team Canada for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
