4 men get 40 years for robbing, killing ad exec in 2013
The Las Piñas City court has found four men guilty of robbery with homicide over the killing of advertising executive Kristelle “Kae” Davantes in 2013, a notorious case that caught the attention of no less than then-President Benigno Simeon Aquino III.
In a recent 13-page decision, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 253 Judge Salvador Timbang, Jr., sentenced Samuel Decimo, Lloyd Benedict Enriquez, Kelvin Jorek Evangelista and Jomar Pepito to a maximum of 40 years in prison.
The four men were also ordered to pay Davantes’ family a total of P125,000 in indemnity and damages.
Prosecutors relied on the testimony of suspect-turned-state witness Reggie Diel, an accomplice to the robbery that took place on September 7, 2013.
Diel said he and the others were looking for a jeepney to rob when they chanced upon Davantes entering her house in Moonwalk Village.
