Brendan Cole had the dubious honour of being the first person linked to the infamous 'Strictly Curse'.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional, who is taking part in this year's Dancing on Ice, was engaged to fellow pro Camilla Dallerup when the show launched in 2004.

Brendan was paired up with newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky in the first ever series and the pair went on to become the inaugural champions.

However, their victory was marred by rumours of an affair behind closed doors - something which both Brendan and Natasha have denied.

Camilla admitted she was left "broken" when her eight-year relationship with Brendan came to an end.

Speaking to The Mirror in 2015, she said: "To this day I have no idea whether it was her fame and celebrity that swept him away or if he really did feel a strong connection with her.
